Hard As A Rock
I’m putting off my Tuesday walk on the beach until after the recording of the DahlCast. That’s because of the overcast Florida skies. I am hoping that two casts will make for a sunshine-filled power walk. Instead, I’m going to go downstairs and brief my condo board president about a couple of things that are on my mind. They avoid me like the plague down here, so I have to seek them out. I know I seem like a constant complainer, but much of that is done for comedic purposes. In real life I am a very easy-going and even-tempered guy (ha!). After the pow-wow, I'm headed off to GNC to buy myself some vitamins, possibly get a car wash, and then it’s back to Podcast South to record today’s show for your listening pleasure.
Speaking of pow-wows: Last night I went with Janet’s brother, Mike, and his son, Colin to The Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood FL. You might remember that as the place that Anna Nicole Smith died. It seems like a funky place to die, but that’s because they still allow smoking in casinos. I understand that smoking, drinking and gambling go hand in hand, but as a guy who only does one out of the three, I would appreciate a smoke-free gambling environment. I played a nickel slot for a few minutes and won $100 then I moved to a 2-cent slot and won $100 more. I certainly am quite the high roller. As you know, I’m on a fixed income and have to watch my dollars and sense. In any case, I doubled my money, which is always my goal at a casino.
