Bowling For Dog Nuts

I attended an après Halloween chili party at our neighbor’s house on Saturday and learned that a local dog had been attacked and eaten. I first blamed a Korean family, but then I was informed that three coyotes had attacked the local pooch. No wonder my dogs have been unreasonably reluctant to go outside and use their dog run at night. I am going to have to make a trip out to the Bass Pro Shop by me today and get me some varmint traps. That’s how coyotes roll; three on one. That makes for good pornography, but less than ideal backyard dog conditions. I guess my dogs were picking up on a very real and dangerous scent, and I apologize for calling them cats (pussies).

I’m planning on speaking a little bit about my Monday night bowling on the DahlCast today. I did pretty well, and bowled my average two out of the three games. I have a very high handicap, yet I still have to park with everyone else. I think it’s 140, but I really don’t know what that means. I’ll have to ask ESPO1 (Ed Silha Party Of 1). He is our resident IT genius and bowling guru. The two go hand in hand if you ask me. With the new dahl.com up and running Ed is really feeling his oats. Now if he could only get laid. Seriously though, I think that Ed did a really spectacular job with the new site. Feel free to leave a comment here if you have any thoughts, kudos or suggestions.

It’s sunny out today, but it’s also 35 Dahlgrees, so as much as I’d like to run outside, I don’t feel like getting all fleeced and gloved up for it. I think I’ll just head over to the gym, lift some weights and hit the treadmill. I still have a LOT of Halloween candy to work off. I get more Halloween candy now, than back in the days when I was a trick or treater. Sadly, I still have candy bar fat on me from when I was 10 years old. I’m still trying to work that off. too At least I haven’t given up, and I guess that’s something. My self-hatred has risen to the point where the remaining candy bars are safe, and there are no baked goods in the house, so I’m poised for a weight reduction run of sorts.

Steve, I live in Deerfield,

Steve,
I live in Deerfield, very close to your "corporate office" in Lincolnshire and the coyote's are a serious problem.  My town house is on a huge piece of private land with about 3000 townhouses and we've got fields, woods, trails etc. that we can't use because the coyote's have taken over.  They're not afraid of us, they just stand there and look at us.  I've got a 65 lb. dog and they don't seem to be afraid of him either.  Lake County Animal Control basically told me to "go screw" when I and other owners called to report multiple sightings.

Sweet new website!

Not only suburban dogs, but

Not only suburban dogs, but also Canadian folk singers are coyote prey. Canadian folk singer Taylor Mitchell was attacked in Nova Scotia and killed by coyotes last week. I guess they hate folk music.

Too bad it wasn't Gordon

Too bad it wasn't Gordon Lightfoot! SD

I reckon Gordon is a bit too

I reckon Gordon is a bit too dry and tough at this point. Taylor on the other hand looks good enough to eat - if Iwas a coyote.

Yeah, and if you try and

Yeah, and if you try and shoot one, I bed you end up in suburban jail! SD

Jeez, I didn't think it was

Jeez, I didn't think it was possible to have NINE seperate ads on a single webpage. ESPO1 is a marketing genius!

The new site is excellent.

The new site is excellent.  The only thing I notice is that everyone is posting as "Anonymous" for some reason. Even after I logged in it still posted my comment as being from anonymous, etc. No big deal, a minor glitch I'm sure, but the new set up seems much more user friendly and logically laid out. Nice work to all parties involved, and as always keep up the great work on the DahlCast! Rock & roll!! ~~Joe Destruction~~

Hi Joe.I'm happy to say that

Hi Joe.

I'm happy to say that little gitch has been resolved. You'll need to re-register and create a new account though. :)

Best Regards,
